Robots

We're building robots in young men's. The goal is to have enough ai for them to recognize a taped off area and stay within the bounds. It's such an awesome project. Video is coming soon.

Update! Here is the video. (It's a little faster than reality.)

Sweet Revenge

This is to get even with Glenn for posting that picture of me the other night....Love you babe!

Fossil Falls

As my first official entry to our blog, I thought I would tell of our super amazing exciting trip to fossil falls today. (Really, it wasn't super amazing, but still fun...I just wanted to make the story sound better.) Anyways, Glenn and I went to sort of "chaperone" my sister and her friends in order to make my parents feel better about their youngest daughter going off with some wild teenagers to climb on some rocks. This way, she would have some adult supervision. Kinda weird for me to think of myself as an adult supervisor, but it was cool. The best part of the whole trip was when Glenn and I decided to climb on top a rock about 15 feet off the ground. It was cool for me because I got to a point where things got a little scary, and I thought that I was going to die, but my strength suprised me, and I was able to pull myself up and onto the top of the rock. I think that has to be one of the greatest feelings- being able to do something that you didn't think you could.

Petroglyphs

Saw some petroglyphs at fossill falls today. But how do we know if they're real?

BRRRR!

This was taken at 8 am this morning - two hours after sunrise! Shouldn't there be some law against this sort of thing in California? The anticipated snow failed us, so the cold is superflous! What happened to the lovely 75-degree weather we had this past week? All i know is that Naomi is going to have a fit - and rightfully so...

Buhaaahaaa

Christy had an itch... Hehe...

Wild White

McKay and I had some fun with a rental van. Sometimes I LOVE living in the desert. Here's a video...

I don't know what happened...

Thriftstore Table

Christy and I have commenced our first "home improvement" project- refinishing a table we bought at the thriftstore for $10.

... that's really all I have to say... Here's a picture of my Squaw hard at work.

Desert wreckage...

On our way to riverside today, McKay and i saw this car. A subaru brat. How does this happen? It's fascinating to me to try to imagine what the story behind it is. Why would someone leave a car in the desert? Oh wait! I can just ask Dave or Ryan...

Fireplaces Rock!

Fires at McKay's are the best. I love chilling by the fireplace and avoiding the horrible pains of the desert winter chill. I actually think it might snow this weekend. That's the rumor anyway...

Menudo...

I purposefully ate menudo for the first time today... It was quite disturbing... For those of you who are like me, some white guy, you would not know what menudo is. If so, try to keep it that way.

Newspaper = fun!

A coworker of mine is quitting her job, so another coworker and I, inspired by a picture on the web, wrapped everything she had left on her desk in newspaper for her to find tomorrow when she picks up her stuff. Sometimes downtime on the job can be very exciting...

Registering

Christy and I finished registering today. We went to Wal-Mart and walked around the store with a laser-wand-scanner-thing and scanned everything we wanted. I think registering is a brilliant idea! We did most of it online and some in the store. I preferred doing it in-store because I could pretend like I was one of those guys that walk around in a tie with a clip-board and scan stuff...

Sweet hike!!!

This past Friday I went with Paul, a friend from the ward, to hike Owens Peak - an 8,453 foot mountain in the Sierras. We started hiking around 4:30 and found a camp spot about two hours later. After an excellent meal of beef stew (cooked on Paul's stove which was lit by the only functional match we had) and a long and bright (the moon was awesome!) night, we started our ascent shortly after sunrise. Having hiked through a maze of gorgeous Oak and pine trees and taken some wrong turns with some treacherous class 3-4 bouldering, we reached the summit.

Great view...

Fruit thingy...

Christy and I got this when we went to Tokyo House to celebrate our engagement... (I'm the one on the right.)
