Cold...

It is now officially cold here. The highs this past week have been mid-30s and the lows are around 5-9 degrees (Fahrenheit). Our car doors are freezing shut and Christy now has to learn how to drive in ice and snow.

I think I just ate a bug...

Funny thing just happened: Here I am sitting on the couch strumming away on the guitar and singing "Leaving on a Jet Plane." Then, I see one of those annoying little fly beetles by my face, but just keep on going with my singing. Soon, I taste this odd flavor in my mouth and some weird sensation in the middle of my throat. The bug is nowhere to be seen. I think I just ate a bug...

On another note, my radar detector got stolen from my car this week as I was heating it up. I was lucky it wasn't anything more, like running off with my car. I've learned my lesson though, and will now carry two sets of keys with me so I can lock my car when I heat it up, or just stay in the car while it is heating up...

Palisades Hike

I went on a hike October 27 with Joe, a friend from the ward. It was an intense hike that took us through thick brush and up very steep terrain. But it was worth it. We saw lots of wildlife (Birds, deer, moose, etc.) and had a lot of fun. Here's a Google Earth file for our trip and below is a link to some pictures as always.

Back to the Ice Caves!

Some other friends of ours wanted to go to Ice Caves after hearing us talk about our trip a few weeks ago. So we went. Once again, it was a blast. I also got some better pictures this time (?).

Halloween concert

Last night (Halloween), we went to BYU-I Symphony orchestra's Halloween concert. It was amazing! They started by. weakly, playing The Hall of the Mountain King. However, as lights were flashing and smoke was flowing, the remainder of the orchestra came on stage and began playing. Other classical Halloween pieces were performed and the show ended with "this is halloween" from Nightmare before Christmas. Loved it!
