Christy allowed me to go by myself up Tablerock last weekend, so I did. I started up the trail shortly after sunrise in the freezing cold Wyoming forest. I had hiked for less than an hour when I met the first bull moose. He was about 50 yards from the trail and did not seem to mind me sneaking closer to him to take some pictures. Since they shed their antlers in the late fall and don't grow them back until the spring (I took a field biology class this past semester that stuffed my brain with all this kind of information...) he didn't look super impressive.

We were finally able to go on a camping trip this weekend. We went on the ward camping trip in Tetonia, ID. Beautiful place. We had lots of fun playing volleyball, eating food, and hanging out around the campfire.

My friend who is also expecting recommended this website to me where they will predict how your baby will look. Out of the three that I did, this picture turned out the best (which says a lot about the other two). In one of the pictures our baby looked Hispanic with a 'fro. Pretty crazy. Can I just say, I have very few pictures of Glenn.
We had a pretty good 4th of July. Had a barbecue, ate root-beer floats, watched movies, took a nap, went to a rodeo, and watched fireworks. It was Glenn's first rodeo, and it was a blast. (I'll let him post the pictures he took). However, due to the "Our Country tis of Thee" program that I participated in as a kid, Independence Day isn't nearly as meaningful for me if there isn't some sort of tribute to our country and its founding fathers. It was still a nice day though.

Our son made it super clear to us that he was a boy and nobody better think anything different. The very first image that the Ultrasound Technician got showed us he was a boy (I didn't post that picture). I can't believe how much he has grown in 3 months! The top picture (though it is kinda hard to see) shows him with his hands cradled by his cheek, one on top of the other (just like his mommy sleeps :) ) and the bottom picture is a profile of his head. He definitely has that Irish blood in him since he's already popped his old man in the jaw! I like to think of it as a sign of affection? Our baby kicks whenever there is a loud noise (like at the movies or fireworks), people cheering, or sports on tv, etc. I asked the doc if I needed to be worried about it (acting as a concerned mother, of course) and the doctor said he's just being a typical boy and wants to join in the action! I have a feeling he'll keep me busy! I guess now the next step is figuring out a name...Glenn doesn't like any of the names I like, so we may just end up calling him Doris! Just kidding!
