He Loves Sweet Potatoes!
Here are some pictures of one of the first times we gave Nico sweet potatoes. He loves them! I think he probably could eat a whole jar in one sitting (haven't tried yet, we've just recently started solids). Nico gets his first haircut on Friday. That's crazy! I can't believe how fast he's grown! Oh, and since you all were such a great help in the transition to formula, any suggestions on how to get him to take a sippy cup? I bought one of the cups that is supposed to be an easy transition to the bottle, but he still wants nothing to do with it. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! In the mean time, enjoy the pics!

The first sippy we started E on, he was about 5 months old and we put a little bit of watered down juice in it. I believe its playtex, but its at walmart. They can come as a two pack and are blue and orange, and the second one is green and purple i think. You'll know it by the colors though, because they are the only ones that are those colors. It has the soft spout so he wont poke his eyes out, or hurt his gums. It took him a few weeks, but after that he did great! Good Luck! Such fun stages he's going through right now!!!! and... we still need to get together!
Honestly, he's not really that old yet so sippy cups aren't really a huge deal yet. Remember, he's still a baby and bottles are okay. But those soft spout ones are supposed to be the great transitional cups.
I guess I can't give you the best advice about sippy cups since Hannah kind of wanted to start drinking out of regular cups and we had to convince her to use a sippy cup so she wouldn't make a mess everywhere. Just give it some time- I don't think you really need to transition him away from the bottle until he is about a year old I think... BTW, Hannah loves sweet potatoes too!
