Update on Us (Christy and Glenn)!

I can't speak for Glenn, but I know that it is really easy for me to get so completely caught up with our little boy that I forget to take care of and be myself. I'm determined to not let being a mom be the only definition of me. If I stop being myself, I think I will have a huge mid-life crisis once all my kids grow up because I won't know who I am or what I even like to do, or I will be way too involved in my kids' lives which potentially could be a problem with future in-laws. So, I've been trying to get involved with things other than Nico to stay me (if that makes any sense).
Ok, so here's the update on Glenn:
He's still going to school and working so hard to provide for our family. We are hoping and keeping our fingers crossed that Glenn will still graduate in December. There's a scheduling conflict with one class so he's petitioned to have one of his major classes count for a cluster class. We'll hopefully hear the verdict within the next couple weeks. It's been raining so much that he hasn't had a whole lot of time to powerkite or hike. He's really looking forward to getting out in the mountains, and even rock climbed yesterday for the first time in 2 1/2 years. (He's also probably thinking right now that this post is already way too long. haha)
As for me, I'm so excited by everyone's response to my "Calling All Bloggers" post, so thanks! Lately I've been finding my zen by participating on my cousin's law firm's softball team once a week. It's crazy, but I seriously love that game! I didn't realize how much I missed it. I'm also starting to get back into scrapbooking (I go through phases with that). My other project is to get everything in our apartment super organized so that moving will be a piece of cake. Well, there you have it. It might not be as interesting and cute as what Nico does, but at least you know a bit about what we've been up to.

Who's the Big Boy?

In case you didn't guess...Nico is! I know, it's another Nico post but there's just so many cute things for me to blog about. Today Nico's high chair came in the mail. I originally wanted to buy this one since we don't have much space, but when you add on shipping costs, it was cheaper to buy this one. It was interesting because even with shipping taken into consideration, it was cheaper to buy it online than at the actual store.

Well, I'm working on downloading Picasa so I can put up a bunch of pics there, but it's taking forever, so you'll just have to settle for a few pictures.

Calling All Bloggers

I absolutely love reading other people's blogs. I'm not yet to the point of reading total strangers' blogs, but it may get that way soon if y'all don't update enough. Well, my wonderful husband willingly re-installed everything on my computer to make things run faster (a task that to me would be pretty much the ultimate last choice of something to do) however I forgot to write down all the bookmarks of blogs I read. Nico's First Haircut

He Loves Sweet Potatoes!

Here are some pictures of one of the first times we gave Nico sweet potatoes. He loves them! I think he probably could eat a whole jar in one sitting (haven't tried yet, we've just recently started solids). Nico gets his first haircut on Friday. That's crazy! I can't believe how fast he's grown! Oh, and since you all were such a great help in the transition to formula, any suggestions on how to get him to take a sippy cup? I bought one of the cups that is supposed to be an easy transition to the bottle, but he still wants nothing to do with it. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! In the mean time, enjoy the pics!
